EARLY YEARS
Thomas Robert Kerr, a life-long resident of Kenton County, was born in Covington on July 25, 1950 to Thomas Hoover Kerr and his wife Jo Ann Moffett Kerr.
EDUCATION
Kerr attended Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Kentucky, where he graduated with honors in 1968. He went on to attend the University of Kentucky and obtained his BBA in 1972. Kerr was also a proud member of the Ohio National Guard, Non-Combat Operations, where he served from 1971-1977.
Kerr's passion for the law was nurtured at Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he graduated with honors in 1977 and began a private law practice under the tutelage of highly respected local attorney G. Wayne Bridges.
Kerr was elected to the 64th District of the Kentucky House of Representatives in 1984 when he was just 34 years of age, and he has faithfully served now for over 23 years.
FAMILY
Tom and his wife, Janice Duncan Kerr, happily married since 1973, raised their three daughters, Julie, Jenny, and Jill, in Taylor Mill, Kentucky. They now have two sons-in-law, Nick Tepe and Jeff Tecau, and a grandson,
Bryce Tecau.
